Lone Star Bocce Open

November 9-11, 2023, 28 teams of 4 (NO WALK) will compete at the Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas. Round robin will be followed by double elimination. 4 groups of 7 teams, top 4 in each group advance to main bracket, bottom 3 advance to consolation bracket. Backboard is dead and teams are permitted to bring their own regulation balls. Round robin games are to 10, while double elimination games are to 12. 8 game guaranteed for each team.

This is an event where the player will be taken care of from start to finish. Evening buffets with carving stations each of the 3 nights, lunch buffets on Friday and Saturday. Shrimp cocktail and cheese and deli meat tray nightly, top shelf no cost open bar every night with coffee tea and water provided all day. Dessert bars with every buffet. In addition, our Italian barista will make an appearance Friday morning, chair masseuses Friday afternoon, New Orleans beignet man Saturday morning and The Little Dippy Cart on Saturday afternoon…all included with the entry fee.

Prizes: in addition to over 10k in cash prizes, medals will be provided to top 3 teams in both division. The winners will also receive a WWE style title belt, belt buckles, a winning photo in the winners circle and the rights to naming a Thoroughbred race horse. A tournament MVP ring will also be awarded.

Lastly, live horse racing on the track every night to bet on if you like.

This tournament experience is one of a kind!

For 2024, Dallas Bocce will collect an email list for those who are interested in registering. The first 32 teams to be fully paid, with a full roster will be admitted to the tournament.

Saturday, October 21, 2023, Little Italy of Sacramento will be hosting a doubles tournament at the East Portal Park. The format will be round robin into two single elimination brackets. All teams are seeded and advance to either gold or silver bracket based on pool play results. Games are to 12, USBF Open Rules, backboard dead. Approximately 20 teams will compete. There are five full-length, covered courts, in a private club. Club and park facilities will be available.

ABC Open

64 teams will compete across two divisions at the illustrious Palazzo di Bocce in Lake Orion, MI, September 7-9, at the ABC Open. Teams will compete in either the Gold or Silver Division, beginning with round robin and moving on to the single elimination knockout rounds. Games will be 4v4 NO WALK USBF Open Rules. Both divisions will have their own skills challenge on Friday. Every team is guaranteed 6 games.

Registration is $500 per team, which includes a lunch buffet on Friday and Saturday. Bocce-exclusive drink specials will be available, as well.

Gold division ONLY will be eligible for UBA pts.

Concord Cup

August 19th, 2023 the Concord Cup will be held at Newhall Park in Concord, CA. The tournament will start with 28 teams of 4 in a round robin round, with the top 16 teams advancing to single elimination. The top 8 teams of the bottom 12 will advance to a 2nd Chance Tournament and the bottom 4 overall will be eliminated. Backboard is dead. Games will be played to 12 and only league balls will be used.

Registration is $60 per player and includes lunch and drinks all day. Light breakfast food and drinks are included and all money is paid out after costs. This tournament is FULL at this point.

Any set of 107 mm 920 g balls can be used. The tournament will be 16-20 4 person teams, round robin into single elimination. Top 8 places get paid out, with $500 for first.

East Portal Bocce Club in Sacramento, CA will host a 4 person (2 men + 2 women) tournament on Saturday, June 24, 2023.

20 teams. Pool Bracket games will determine a final 20-team rank order based on Wins/ Points scoring system. The top 12 teams will play in a Single Elimination tournament (Gold Division), and the bottom 8 teams will play in a Single Elimination tournament (Silver Division). Cash payouts for 1st-4th in Gold, and 1st-2nd place in Silver division.

Backboard is live (West coast style). USBF Open rules. Games to 12. Steel pallinos. Club balls or own are allowed. Full length courts. VOLO allowed from lag line.

June 24, 2023 Ezio Carrozzi and the Holley Bocce Club will be hosting the Ugo Carrozzi Memorial Bocce Tournament at Holley, NY’s Hickory Ridge Golf & RV Resort, in honor of the legendary bocce player, Ugo Carrozzi. This doubles tournament will be double elimination, open rules, backboard live, games to 16, and balls will be provided. 16-20 teams are expected.

IABC Open Bocce Tournament

20 teams will compete in a four person NO WALK, round robin into single elimination tournament at the Italia America Bocce Club in St Louis, MO on Saturday June 17, 2023. Each team is guaranteed three games. Games will be to 11 pts OR 55 minutes, whichever comes first. Ruleset is USBF Open Rules. A 5th alternate player is allowed.

Short Street Super Doubles

Short Street Bocce Club of Lockport, NY will be hosting a two person double elimination tournament June 3-4, 2023.

If there are 24 teams or less, traditional double elimination is to be played entirely on June 3.

If there are 25 teams or more - we will start with a double elimination on Saturday June 3 and stop when we have 4 teams with no loss and 8 teams with one loss. All 12 teams come back Sunday June 4 for a double elimination tournament and will start with a clean slate. 4 winner’s bracket teams from Saturday start Sunday with a bye.

Backboards are live, games are to 16, and refs are provided.

Registration is $200 per team, payable in advance or day of. Entry fee does not include food, but food is available for purchase.
